What are the pros and cons of placing one’s happiness in other people’s hands? Is it better to take your fate into your own hands? Is it always possible to be the architect of your own future?
I believe that junk food tastes so good because it's bad for you
A more general (not really serious) statement says that everything that is fun is either prohibited or unhealthy or prohibitively expensive or dangerous etc. This can be deduced from Murphy’s law. In fact this attitude is a symptom of a pessimistic point of view. A realist would say that junk food is not bad for you, as long as you combine it with other kind of food. In fact, a Big Mac contains more vitamins, calcium and iron than other food (cf. W.Krämer, Lexikon der populären Irrtümer, p.117). An optimist would argue that food can be healthy AND taste good.
I believe your parents did the best job they knew how to do
I am afraid this cannot be generalized. How could Julian Lennon agree if he hardly ever saw his own father? How can someone agree who was neglected and abused by his or her parents? I believe parents would not claim to always do the best possible job - after all they have to live a life of their own, don’t they?
I believe that beauty magazines promote low self esteem
On the one hand, magazines show models with seemingly perfect faces and bodies. Compared to these pictures we are ugly, too fat etc. This could indeed bring you down. On the other hand those same magazines tell us that the stars are human beings as well who get divorced, have problems after their beauty operations etc. This promotes our self-confidence. And those magazines tell people what to do and thus gives them strength. If magazines depressed their readers, these readers would stop buying those magazines - and the magazine-makers would certainly not like that.

People love winners, persons who do not suffocate their partners. People do not love persons who are dependent on others - but some people enjoy the feeling of power.

If this is meant in a religious sense, it can neither be proved nor refuted, because nobody can say that only the good ones go to heaven and the bad ones to hell (or in buddhism: that the good ones are reincarnated on a higher level). On a non-religious level it is true as a general principle, corroborated by exchange theory (tit for tat). However, you can find so many exceptions to this general rule: good peple get killed in car accidents, bad people win a million in a lottery etc. Thus: Discuss the antitheses: „Crime does pay" and „A lot of results are caused by chance"

a) Knowing this rule, we should appreciate the good times again and again, take care that a good relationship is not destroyed. B) In retrospect, a relationship sometimes seems like real love but was not really good. Instead of looking back better look for the next real love!

Refers to the saying „The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence" Therefore, don’t be jealous of others, be content with what you’ve got. On the other hand, there would be no such thing as progress if nobody would look for „greener things on the other side of the fence".

I think that you can control or suppresss sexuality to a certain extent, but I don’t think that it is good to do so all the time. In fact you have to control your sexuality, if the potential partner does not want to have sex with you.
I believe that trust is more important than monogamy
It is silly to trust someone who betrays you. Monogamy is not essential if both partners agree. You can have sex with someone else and love your partner.

Other features such as good looks, wealth, position, brain are pretty attractive as well, aren't they!

I believe that friends are worth more than the family; you are not responsible for your parents, brothers and sisters etc., but it is up to you who your friends are.
